This Privacy Policy describes details our policies and practices in this area as well as any regulations that may be relevant to the collecting, use, and distribution of your data.
In a nutshell,
There are four sections to this privacy policy:
This section specifies important terms that are utilized through this whole policy, whether of how You navigate this website or the Telxy Service.
Usage Data Policy is to inform users about the types of data that Telxy collects and how that data is used. Telxy gathers usage information to enhance the functioning and performance of its products and services as well as to give users a more tailored experience.
The types of data that Telxy may collect include device information, location data, usage statistics, and other information related to the use of its products and services. Telxy uses this information to improve its products and services, provide personalized experiences, and for research and development purposes. Telxy may also use the information to contact users with special offers or promotions.
Without the user’s permission, Telxy will never share or sell any personally identifying information. Telxy, however, might provide generalized data to outside parties for analysis and research reasons.
Telxy will keep use information for as long as is required by law and to fulfil the purpose for which it was obtained. Telxy takes appropriate measures to protect the security of the collected data, including encryption and secure storage.
Users have the option to opt-out of data collection by adjusting the settings on their device or by contacting Telxy’s customer support team. This policy is subject to modification at any moment by Telxy. The policy will be posted on Telxy’s website in its most recent iteration.
Please get in touch with Telxy’s customer service staff if you have any queries or issues regarding the usage data policy. Telxy is committed to protecting user’s privacy and to provide transparency on data usage.
Telxy uses cookies to enhance the user experience and to gather usage information for analytical and research purposes. Telxy’s cookies don’t contain any data that can be used to identify you, such as your name, address, or credit card information.
By changing the settings on your browser, you can manage the use of cookies on Telxy’s website. You may usually block or erase cookies, but doing so can make it more difficult for you to access some features of Telxy’s website.
Telxy is dedicated to secure children’s under-18s’ privacy. Children under 18 are not targeted for our services or products, and we do not intentionally gather personally identifiable information from them.
.
Only if you register and have been granted access to a Provider account does this section apply to You. Some features need your express permission in order to be activated; they do not do so automatically.
We may request certain information from you that may help us contact or identify you. Patients will also view whatever additional information you present in the welcome area when they “enter” the waiting area. Such information includes:
By utilizing the Service, You agree that We may email You with information about new Service features, updates, maintenance, and other items that may occasionally be added. If you agree to receive email alerts inside the Service, We will also contact you to let you aware if a patient is awaiting in the waiting area.
You may omit this step if you don’t want to receive text messages telling you when a patient arrives in the waiting area.
HealthCare Blocks’ secure and HIPAA-compliant cloud services process all of Your data. This enables Us to concentrate on developing solutions that come with strong security and privacy turned on by default. We use the most advanced security measures available to stop unauthorized access, release, manipulation, or loss of any of Your data.
You have the option to use a third-party authentication service to sign in to the Telxy Service. Single Sign-On (SSO) is the term used to describe the requirement that You authenticate with the third-party identity provider before you can use the Service. You can use the built-in Facebook and Google identity connectors in the Service at your discretion. Telxy additionally provides a custom functionality that allows You to define Your own SSO service.
When logging in with SSO, You will be taken to the authentication agent for that specific identity provider, where Your login information (often a name and password) will be used to confirm Your identity. The login information used by a third-party identity provider is not accessible to Telxy. Once Your identity has been confirmed and You have been given access to the Service, a token is returned to Us after Your SSO authentication.
You can use the following methods to invite patients to sessions:
The invitation will be created and sent using any information you provide. The data is then permanently destroyed after being used for that specific purpose.
You can share all or a portion of your computer screen with the patient using the service’s function, or you can ask to see the patient’s screen.
Sharing one’s screen comes with obvious privacy concerns. You are responsible for making sure that throughout the screensharing session, no private or sensitive information (apart from that which the Patient is permitted to access) is visible.
In contrast, it is the patient’s responsibility to check that their screen is clear of any private or sensitive information before approving the screenshare.
No PHI is gathered during the video conference between the Patient and Provider, despite the fact that the Telxy Service is aimed at the healthcare industry.
Any sensitive information you discuss with your patient regarding their health or other matters is encrypted using the SSL Internet protocol across a secure connection. The audio-video portion of the Session cannot and will not be viewed by Telxy.
If You choose to send a file to the patient, it will be automatically deleted from Our server 15 minutes after the transfer is complete. On the other hand, if a Patient gives You a file, it will be automatically destroyed after the transmission is over, which takes about 15 minutes.
If You take a picture of the Patient, it will be delivered safely and deleted within 15 seconds.
Any communications between You and the Patient are momentarily kept on Your computer’s hard drive rather than on the Telxy servers. Your conversation history is available for you to copy to an internal system even after the session has ended. The moment the browser is closed, the conversation history is permanently deleted.
If you choose to request that the patient to compensate you during the session, you have the option of using the credit card payment system, a third party. Before requesting payment, you must create an account in the settings area of Your Account. The Patient will get a payment pop-up screen that asks for details such their name and credit card number. Telxy does not keep or utilize any of the information entered in the payment pop-up screen. Visit for more information.
Any premium Service modifications that you choose to buy can be paid for through a third-party credit card payment system. Telxy receives payment information from Stripe once a transaction is complete, but it does not keep or use any of the information entered on the payment pop-up screen.
A patient’s signature on a Teleconsent Appointment Consent Form may be requested or required. The form’s intent is to communicate what telehealth communication is, patient rights, and each party’s responsibilities. Depending on the category of your account, Telxy offers a template form or lets you upload your own.
Following the patient’s signature, the form should be downloaded by both You and Your Patient because the service will not save it and it will be fully deleted.
You can turn off the audio, the video, or both at any moment throughout the session. You may find it difficult to communicate with the patient effectively if you accomplish this. You could, however, occasionally want to turn off the audio or the video for private reasons.
At any point, you can end the session.
This section only applies if You want to use the Service to hold a video conference with a Provider who has provided You with a special web link. Some features don’t turn on automatically; you have to explicitly authorize them.
The Service can be used by Patients without them having to create an account or register with Telxy.
To access the waiting area, a Provider will send You a link to the Provider Website by email or text. You will be directed to the welcome screen after clicking that link, where you must enter your name and press the “Check In” button.
Your name, which is used for initial identification, is only visible to the Provider. There is no necessity that You use Your entire name, nor is there any way to verify the information. Your name is not saved or utilized in any other way by the Service; it is just used for the current session.
You can turn off the audio, the video, or both at any moment throughout the session. Effective contact with the Provider could be hindered if you do this. You could, however, occasionally want to turn off the audio or the video for private reasons.
The session may also be ended at any time by you.
The Patient and Provider Session does not involve the collection of any PHI, despite the Telxy Service being aimed at the healthcare industry.
Any sensitive information you discuss with or submit to the provider, including medical information, is transmitted through a secure channel utilizing the SSL Internet protocol.
When You transmit a file to the Provider, it will be sent securely and erased after 15 minutes.
In the event that Your Provider decides to take a picture of You, the picture will be transferred safely and then deleted within 15 minutes.
Any conversations between You and the Provider are not stored on Telxy services, but only momentarily in computer memory. The chat history is wiped permanently once the browser is closed.
If you choose to pay the Provider during the Session, a credit card authorization screen will show up and request your name and credit card details. All credit card transactions are handled by a third party. Telxy does not collect or utilize any of the information you submit on the payment pop-up screen.
Your healthcare provider may request that you fill out a Teleconsent Appointment Consent Form. The form’s objective is to inform you of your legal rights and obligations as well as what Telehealth communication is. Completely reading the form is advised, and you shouldn’t be afraid to approach Your Provider for explanations.
When you click the mouse to electronically capture your signature and embed it in the form, you will be asked to sign the document if it requires one. The form can be downloaded by You and Your Provider, but the Service does not store it.
You can share all or a portion of your computer screen with the provider using a tool offered by the service. You will receive an alert inviting you to connect your screen or a specific window.
Sharing one’s screen comes with obvious privacy concerns. You are responsible for making sure that no private or sensitive information (apart from what you want to show the provider) is visible during the screensharing session.
If you don’t want the screenshare provider to be able to see your email system or other open windows, for example, it would be best to close any open windows or programs before the screenshare.
